Palestinian Film Club on Friday 3rd May 2024

Please note, this event has been cancelled.

Part of Kitchen Street’s Liverpool Palestinian Film Club, this month’s offering is an insight into the day to day lives of genuine revolutionaries. After visiting the 1971 Cannes Film Festival filmmakers Koji Wakamatsu and Adachi Masao travelled to Lebanon where they captured footage of the Japanese Red Army Faction, and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine in a film hoping to incite a call to action for Palestinian liberation.
Programmed by Georgia Berry and Joel Whitaker, this screening is held in solidarity with all Palestinians, with 100% of the proceeds going to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP). Prints by Rosa Kusabbi and Jenna Macfarlane will be available to buy on the day, as well as a bake sale for screening snacks, also with proceeds going to MAP.
Doors will open at 6:30pm, and the screening will start at 7pm.
MAP is a charity which provides vital medical resources to health workers in Palestine.
