Review of An Audience With Rusty Egan Ft Erik Stein + The Rude Awakening
Having never attended an event at The Victoria previously I didn't know what to expect, I need not have worried a pleasingly proper pub bar greeted me with at least 2 of my favourite beers on tap, and more besides. The gig space itself was small, bit with good viewing angles and sound. The event itself was an interesting combination of music, interview and story telling with live vocals on some tracks. Rusty was interesting and amusing and knows how to tell a story. The background to Blitz and his current music was fascinating. Rusty himself was personable and engaging, will search out his next release for sure. I will also keep an eye on for events at the venue.

Don't miss Rusty's incredible enthusiasm, knowledge and fun making and playing his songs live. This was one of the best, and i go to events and gigs every week

Review of Ayano Kaneko + support
This was a real treasure of a gig! Really loved the soulful, slow-burn vibe of the support act, and then Ayano-san & her band really blew the place away! I had no idea the performance was going to be SO energetic! Some absolutely stunning guitar and drum work, and Ayano-san's vocals really shone through. Really fantastic to have some contemporary Japanese music culture come to Birmingham and I hope very much they return some day. 本?"にありがとう?"?-いま?-たAyano?•?"!

Review of Ayano Kaneko + support
Supporting act was engaging and hypnotic, great for getting in the mood. But Kaneko Ayano was an absolute spectacle! I could tell that the whole band had utter mastery of their respective instruments, and they created a raw noise which gave me such euphoria. The atmosphere was so friendly, my favourite part of the evening being when Ayano came back for an encore, saying "I'm so happy". What a night!
