RHYTHM RETREAT / STATFOLD BARN RAILWAY TERMS AND CONDITIONS / RETREAT CODE 

These terms and conditions relate to the purchase of a ticket and / or the supply of a complimentary tickets and attendance at RHYTHM RETREAT 2024. Please read these terms and conditions carefully before purchasing any Tickets as by doing so, you accept these terms and conditions.

1. ROLLER SKATING, LIKE ALL SPORTS, HAS RISKS THAT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED. EVEN FULLY TRAINED AND EXPERIENCED SKATERS HAVE THE RISK OF INJURY DUE TO THE NATURE OF THE SPORT. NEITHER THE OWNER, THE MANAGEMENT NOR ANY STAFF OF RHYTHM RETREAT /STATFOLD BARN RAILWAY SHALL BE LIABLE FOR ANY ACCIDENT OR INJURY TO ANY CUSTOMER OR THIRD PARTY. 

2. ACCIDENTS CAN OCCUR THROUGH ONE'S OWN LACK OF SKILL AND EXPERIENCE, OR BY COLLISION WITH ANOTHER SKATER. FOR THIS REASON, SKATERS SHALL COMPREHEND THE EXISTENCE OF RISK AS SKATERS THEMSELVES OR OTHER PARTIES ARE POSSIBLE TO CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.
3. IF YOU ARE A BEGINNER, WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU CONSIDER TAKING A LESSONS WITH A QUALIFIED ROLLER-SKATING INSTRUCTOR PRIOR TO ATTEMPTING THE SPORT, PROTECTIVE SKATE GEAR IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

4. ALL SKATERS SHALL PROPERLY BEHAVE AND OBSERVE ALL RULES PROVIDED IN OUR RETREAT CODE. SKATERS SHALL FULFIL THEIR OBLIGATION TO TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES.
5. BY ENTERING THIS RHYTHM RETREAT EVENT YOU AGREE TO ADHERE TO OUR RULES AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTION OF THE STAFF. FAILURE TO ABIDE BY THE SKATE STEWARD'S OR OTHER STAFF'S INSTRUCTIONS SHALL LEAVE YOU LIABLE TO EVICTION. 

6. ELDERLY WHO ARE OVER THE AGE OF 60, PREGNANT WOMEN, THOSE WHO CANNOT TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES OR HAVE RELATED EPILEPSY, AS WELL AS
PATIENTS WHO HAVE CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE, ASTHMA, POLIOMYELITIS, OSTEOGENESIS IMPERFECTA OR OTHER BONE DISEASE, ARE ADVISED THAT ROLLER SKATING IS NOT SUITABLE AND SHOULD CONSULT WITH A DOCTOR BEFORE HAND. 

PARTICIPATION. 

7. SKATERS ARE FORBIDDEN TO BRING DIGITAL APPLIANCES, FOOD OR DRINKS INTO THE VENUE & ON SITE DURING THE RETREAT. NO FOOD OR DRINKS PERMITTED ONTO THE SKATING AREA AT ANYTIME. 

8. ALL PERSONAL BELONGINGS AND VALUABLE ITEMS MUST BE PLACED IN THE DESIGNATED AREA PROVIDED. NEITHER THE OWNER, THE MANAGEMENT NOR ANY STAFF OF RHYTHM RETREAT /STATFOLD BARN RAILWAY SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LOSS, THEFT OR DAMAGE TO, ANY PROPERTY OR VALUABLE BELONGINGS OF ANY SKATER OR VISITOR. NO PERSONAL BELONGINGS OR VALUABLES SHALL BE ENTRUSTED TO ANY RHYTHM RETREAT /STATFOLD BARN RAILWAY EMPLOYEE. 

9. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS, NEITHER THE OWNER, THE MANAGEMENT NOR ANY STAFF OF RHYTHM RETREAT /STATFOLD BARN RAILWAY SHALL BE LIABLE OR RESPONSIBLE FOR AN ACCIDENT WHETHER CAUSED BY THE SKATER HIM/HERSELF, OR ANY COLLISION WITH OTHER SKATER. TAKE THESE RISKS INTO ACCOUNT BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT THIS SPORT.

Our site is set in idyllic Staffordshire farmland just outside of Tamworth. Perfect for a Staffordshire staycation, our camping grounds are set out on a mixture of hard standing and grassed farmland.

HAZE/SMOKE AND FLASHING LIGHT EFFECTS ARE USED DURING SKATING SESSIONS

NO PROFESSIONAL OR FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY WITHOUT THE PRIOR CONSENT OF ROLLOUT MANAGEMENT NO PHONES OR LISTENING DEVICES ON THE RINK 

NO CHEWING GUM ANYWHERE INSIDE THE ROLLOUT VENUE NO SWEARING OR ANTI-SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR NO SMOKING, E- CIGARETTES OR SIMILAR DEVICES INSIDE THE ROLLOUT VENUE. 

No outside food or drinks permitted while within the Rhythm Retreat designated areas.

Camping food and non alcoholic drink supplies are permitted but must stay within the designated campsite area.

PLEASE NOTE: This workshop is not a learn to skate class, therefore individuals must possess proficient skating abilities and have already acquired a moderate level of skill.

As a part of The NC (The Next Chapter) skate collective, she instructs roller skating classes across the UK and Europe, aiming to elevate the sport & culture by fostering creativity, inspiration, and the exchange of knowledge.

Coming alone? Coming with a friend? Coming with a partner? All are good! If you are coming solo you will simply be paired up with someone else in the class or with Alan & Korane.

This is a foundations of ballroom class so you need to be an intermediate skater to be able to participate

minimum requirements are, to be able to T-stop confidently on both sides and cross one foot over the other confidently on both sides.

In this class you will be learning:

• The foundation U formation
• The 'glide'
• U formation and 'glide' with a partner how to lead and how to follow)
• Partner signals
• Then depending on how you progress if you pick that up quickly we can come to you to show you some cool turns and turn variations
