2024 will see the 4th instalment of Craic by the Creek! The UK most loved festival of Irish and Country music As the only festival of its kind, Craic By The Creek brings the biggest names in the country in Irish music to Whitebottom Farm, Greater Manchester, for a 3 day, long, St Patrick’s Day style celebration.
With a wonderful variety of food, drink and camping facilities on site, you'll have everything at hand to experience a great festival of Irish and Country music.
Make a weekend of it! Onsite camping and glamping is available for festival-goers - tickets must be purchased alongside a standard entry ticket.
If you are bringing a motorhome, camper or caravan, you must purchase a ticket to bring your vehicle. You must also buy camping tickets for each person who will be staying in your motorhome, camper or caravan. Please note Craic by the Creek is an event primarily aimed at an adult audience but children are more than welcome. Anyone under the age of 12 years MUST be accompanied by an Adult and must have their own ticket.

Craic by the Creek Festival information & FAQs
Craic by the Creek takes place Friday 19th - Sunday 21st July 2024.
Unfortunately we can’t issue you with a refund if you can’t make the event due to work commitments or your mates have dropped out. In these circumstances, we advise passing on your tickets privately to avoid losing out on the money spent. Refunds can only be offered if the event is cancelled or postponed, as agreed upon purchase.
Yes, the post code for the car park is SK6 5HH and will code £20 per car for the whole weekend. Please note this is a cash only car park.
The car park is a 15 minute walk through Etherow Country Park to the festival site, which is the quickest route. There is also a shuttle bus in operation throughout the weekend although the drive can get congested so you may need to wait.
Cars are not allowed on the lane up to the festival site or on Whitebottom Farm itself on the festival weekend. Unfortunately, this is a security issue. However, campers and Motorhome festival goers have the option of driving onto the festival site on the Thursday to pitch up their tent with all of their camping gear.
'Pitch Up Thursday' will take place between the hours of 5pm and 8pm. Any belongings left on the festival site at this time are left at the risk of the owner. If you would like to put your name down for this service, please fill out the form at https://craicbythecreek.co.uk/pitch-up-thursday.
Please be aware, cars must NOT be left on site and must be removed by 8pm. If you are using a car to tow a caravan, you must remove your car as this cannot be left next to your caravan over the festival weekend as per the site rules.
There won't be any entertainment on Thursday and no food vendors, but the bar will be open and you can bring your own food. The shower and toilet facilities will of course be open too.
A limited number of disabled parking spots are available to those who hold a valid blue badge and valid weekend tickets. Spaces are limited and must be booked in advance at https://craicbythecreek.co.uk/disabled-access.
Craic by the Creek is located at Whitebottom farm in Etherow Country Park, Compstall, Stockport SK6 5JQ. Use postcode SK6 5HZ and then follow festival signs to the Festival Car Park on Compstall Road, SK6 5HH/
The nearest railway stations are Marple and Romiley. Stockport station is also nearby with buses every 15 minutes.
If you want to park next to your friends at the festival, you will need to turn up at the same time. You will not be able to reserve areas as space is restricted.
All food vendors and festival market stalls will be cash / card only. They do not use the token system - this is exclusive to the bar.
No, however you can access charger points for phones and the shower facilities include sockets for hairdryers and straighteners.
The Craic by the Creek site will be accessible from midday on the Friday morning. The entertainment won't begin until the evening but campers, glampers, Motorhomes / Campervans and Caravan ticket holders can arrive and pitch their tents / get settled from 12pm. The festival bar will be open from midday and food vendors will be on site.
If you are a general admission ticket holder (and are not camping / glamping etc.) you can still turn up from midday if you wish. The bar will be open for you to get a head start on the masses/
Yes, you can access free drinking water, situated in the shower area.
Entertainment at Craic by the Creek will begin from 6pm on Friday evening and will end on Sunday at 9pm. The full music schedule by day will be released closer to the festival weekend.

We kindly ask that all festival goers leave the festival site on Monday. If you're a camper, glamper, or bringing your motorhome, you are welcome to stay on the Sunday night and keep the party going until the early hours. There will be plenty of food and drink to keep you going!

- Unruly behaviour is not accepted
- No rucksacks in the barn / stage area - trip hazard
- No public cars on site
